Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress who is mainly seen in Hindi films. It is among the top-paid actors in India Her awards include the three Filmfare Awards. Time Magazine ranked Padukone as among the top 100 Influential people around the world in 2018. They also gave her an award called the TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone is her mother's badminton legend Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. She played badminton at national championships as a teenager but she gave up playing to become a model. She soon began being offered roles in films. Her first performance was that of Aishwarya the Kannada protagonist. Padukone then played the dual in the role of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) the debut Bollywood film. The film earned Padukone she won the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut.
