King Von

KingKing Von, whose real identity was Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was born on August 9, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Taesha. Three siblings were his mother's, and six of his half-siblings come from his father. Bennett was mostly fostered by his mother due to his father's frequent time spent in jail. At the age of 11, his father was shot and killed. Bennett was 16 when he went to jail in the first instance. This was only the beginning of many run-ins with the law. Following his release, Bennett received college credits at South Suburban College, South Holland, Illinois. To try to reform himself due to legal trouble, Bennett began pursuing his musical career, and was collaborating frequently with fellow rapper Lil Durk.Although "Welcome to O'Block" was the sole studio album Von released during his lifetime The posthumous album "What It Means to be King" was released in March of 2022.
