Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, playwright and teacher in St. Thomas University). Her father hails from Britain, while her mother is the "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's earliest memories of attending rehearsals for play and watching her mother's work. Anna was a part of numerous commercials as a young child. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 in order to continue her acting career. Then, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in the year 2009. Anna has since converted to Judaism by then, and Seth Cooperman were married in December 2010 in Fredericton. In April of 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows with an Jewish ceremony.
