Sheryl-Underwood

Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, host of a TV show and actress best known for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes from a troubled family. She spent most part of her youth caring for Frankie. Frankie suffered from an illness called polio. Growing up, she had a difficult relationship with her mother. Sheryl says that at one instance her mother stabbed her father due to him getting too close to her. When she graduated from college Sheryl became a military officer. Her interest was in comedy. She was the first female finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. In 1992, she began her TV debut with regular appearances on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She also appeared in 2000 as host of the television program Oh Drama! Since 2011, she has been a cohost of the Talk show. She also has fictional roles on series such Bulworth Nikki, Bulworth or Beauty Shop.
