Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most unusual of pop artists: one who could effectively bridge the gap between pop and country and conquer the world. Swift is shedding her country roots as if it were a second-skin, showing herself to be one of the best pop singers and songwriters within her generation. She has the ability to tap into the current trend and create her unique. Swift's early hits, especially the neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. However, her album Fearless revealed a songwriter who was discovering herself and gaining a huge following. Fearless was a huge success worldwide and not just in North America (where it earned as platinum six times for Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. and other countries. Swift was able to consolidate her success through Speak Now almost two year after. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), the popularity of Swift grew, and she was able to enter a music scene in which it became clear she was a part of. The popularity of her music grew after she reformulated her approach with 2020's pared-down siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
